Okay, those are all that I have made and come straight from the in-game guide book. As others post, I will edit and include to make this post stay relevant. As you discover any immunity, it will be added here as well. Thank you for your time and help.

***EDIT!!!*** I have now begun to alphabetize them

***************** FURTHER EDIT!!!! *****************************

So by now the apparent pattern is too much to ignore, so it can be considered that each Dragon has 2 Resistances and 1 Immunity.

Thanks to Daniel for all of his hard work in helping to modify and adjust this!!!

If anyone else notices anything, please do not hesitate to help us add to it, we would be grateful :D

#641 Need a Moderator

Posted by Ashley on 08 June 2012 - 01:04 PM

Hi everyone,

Because our activity is increasing pretty fast, it's time we add another staff member.

Travis and I are looking for a person to be a moderator for the site. You will have the responsibility of making sure the community is in order and there isn't any disruption.

We're looking for someone who:

1) Likes the game Dragon City.
2) Likes our site and will stay active.
3) Contributes to the site.
4) Can speak in a professional way.
5) Knows and understands the rules (which are very simple).
6) Will not abuse power in any way.

If anyone is interested, please send me a message through the private messaging system. Tell me the reasons you'd like to be a staff member and why you're qualified. I'll give a week time period for people to message and I'll decide who gets the position after that time. (If I get an application soon I'll probably cut the time down, so hurry if you want the position!).

Thanks!

#39210 Desktop Dragons

Posted by Balgruff on 12 April 2013 - 10:41 PM

I downloaded this app called Desktop Ponies where some of the ponies from My Little Pony Friendship is Magic will walk around your screen while acting out some small scenes from the series. The program itself is freeware, so you don't need to pay for it.

Capturedesktop.PNG

So while playing around with the program, I found a function, pony editor, so I looked at it and saw that it will accept most anything as long as it's coded in. So, I added the chainmail dragon into the program. I plan to add other dragons later on, but it is time consuming.

The program itself (minus the ponies and with the Chainmail dragon included) can be found here in .zip format. Download, extract and run Desktop Ponies (not the screensaver) it and you should see this:

3.PNG

Just select the number of dragons you want on your screen and click GIVE ME PONIES. After a few seconds the Chainmail dragon should start walking/flying/flipping/swordplaying around your screen.

xgffd.PNG

As I said, I will be adding other dragons in as well, but it's time consuming. I can however put priority to a certain dragon if you give 20 credits to me and tell me what dragon you want in the topic (first post-first serve basis).

SUPPORTED DRAGONS:

Spoiler

To add dragons, download and unzip the expansion packs, then move the expansion pack to the Desktop Dragons folder. It will be added automatically to the program after that and will show the next time you start the program.

Download link : http://www.mediafire...aa2yx2ario8dl7u

And a tip, if the dragons are too big for your liking, you can always go to options and adjust the size. Remember to save before you quit the options screen!

Also, you quit the dragons by right-clicking on them and selecting quit.

HOW TO INSTALL:

1. Download the program here.

2. Unzip or extract the program folder.

3. Run the Desktop Ponies program. (not the screensaver)

HOW TO ADD OTHER DRAGONS (using Joker as an example):

1. Download the dragon expansion file from the links above.
Spoiler

2. Unzip or extract the dragon folder.

3. Move the entire extracted folder into the Desktop Dragons folder, it should look like this:

4. Run the Desktop Ponies program.

#121 What would you like to see in the game?

Posted by Devin on 05 June 2012 - 03:45 AM

A 'Collect All Gold' button so you don't have to go to each habitat and get the gold, you can just click one button and get it all at once.

#288 Island Set Up - Efficiency Plan

Posted by Ashley on 06 June 2012 - 07:35 PM

As you know I'm relatively new to this game. But here's how I'm trying to make a set-up that includes at least one of every dragon while being best set up for income.

So first, then, let's write out the habitats (large):

Earth: 2000 Gold, 4 Dragons
Fire: 25000 Gold, 4 Dragons
Water: 50000 Gold, 3 Dragons
Plant: 20000 Gold, 4 Dragons
Electric: 6000 Gold, 4 Dragons
Ice: 75000 Gold, 3 Dragons
Metal: 30000 Gold, 4 Dragons
Dark: 80000 Gold, 4 Dragons
(Legend)

Now I'm going to want more dragons in a habitat because it means faster income. So even though water has a max of 50,000, it only holds three dragons. So the income speed is less. So I'm going to rank habitats with this priority rating:

1 Dark
2 Metal
3 Fire
4 Plant
5 Ice
6 Water
7 Electric
8 Earth

Keeping this in mind, let's now list the dragons in order of income. I'll use the level 1 income data because it appears income is consistent and the ratio stays the same as they level.

(L) Legendary - 60
(L) Crystal - 50
(L) Mirror - 50
(L) Wind - 40

(E) Earth - 18
(E/ELE) Star - 15
(E/W/D) Poo - 15
(E/M) Armadillo - 14
(E/D) Hedgehog - 13
(E/P) Tropical - 12
(F/ELE) Laser - 12
(P/W) Coral - 12
(P/ELE) Gummy - 12
(ELE) Electric - 12
(F/E) Vulcano - 11
(E/W) Waterfall - 10
(E/P) Cactus - 10
(E/I) Alpine - 10
(F/P) Firebird - 10
(D) Dark - 10
(ELE/D) Neon - 10
(E/F) Flaming Rock - 9
(W/ELE) Lantern Fish - 9
(F/P) Spicy - 9
(P) Plant - 9
(P/D) Carnivore Plant - 9
(ELE/M) Battery - 9
(D/P) Rattlesnake - 9
(E/W) Mud - 8
(P/I) Mojito - 8
(F/D) Vampire - 8
(W/ELE) Storm - 8
(M/ELE) Gold - 8
(P/M) Jade - 8
(ELE/I) Fluorescent - 8
(D/W) Pirate - 8
(F) Fire - 7
(F/M) Medieval - 7
(M/D) Zombie - 7
(W/F) Blizzard - 6
(W/P) Nenufar - 6
(P/I) Dandelion - 6
(M) Metal - 6
(I/D) Penguin - 6
(W/I) Ice Cream - 6
(W/D) Petroleum - 6
(F/W) Cloud - 5
(F/I) Cool Fire - 5
(I/F) Soccer - 5
(I/M) Pearl - 5
(M/I) Platinum - 5
(W/M) Mercury - 4
(I) Ice - 4
(W) Water - 3
(W/I) Icecube - 3

Now that I have the dragons listed with their elements to the left and income to the right, I want to put each dragon in the best habitat for that particular dragon. I won't count legendary dragons. Here's what I end up with:

Earth: Earth
Electric: Star, Electric
X Dark: Poo, Hedgehog, Dark, Neon
X Metal: Armadillo, Battery, Gold, Jade
X Plant: Tropical, Coral, Gummy, Cactus
X Fire: Laser, Vulcano, Firebird, Flaming Rock
X Water: Waterfall, Lantern Fish, Mud
X Ice: Alpine, Fluorescent, Ice
X Fire: Spicy, Fire, Blizzard, Cloud
X Plant: Plant, Nenufar, Dandelion, Mojito
X Dark: Carnivore Plant, Rattlesnake, Vampire, Pirate
Water: Storm, Water
X Metal: Medieval, Metal, Pearl, Platinum
Dark: Zombie, Penguin, Petroleum
Fire: Cool Fire, Soccer
Metal: Mercury
Ice: Icecube, Ice Cream

As you can see, we have a lot of non-full habitats here. We don't want that. So what I'll do is start with the lowest priority habitat (earth) and put the lowest earth-income dragons from the list (going from the bottom up) and add them into the list. Then I'll repeat with the next lowest, electric. And go up in the priority list until I have the best set up I can have. Here's my result:

Earth: Earth, Mud, Flaming Rock, Alpine
Electric: Star, Electric, Fluorescent, Gold
Dark: Poo, Hedgehog, Dark, Neon
Dark: Carnivore Plant, Rattlesnake, Vampire, Pirate
Dark: Penguin, Petroleum, [Hedgehog], [Hedgehog]
Metal: Armadillo, Battery, Zombie, Jade
Metal: Medieval, Metal, Pearl, Platinum
Plant: Tropical, Coral, Gummy, Cactus
Plant: Plant, Nenufar, Dandelion, Mojito
Fire: Laser, Vulcano, Firebird, Soccer
Fire: Spicy, Fire, Blizzard, Cloud
Water: Waterfall, Lantern Fish, Mercury
Water: Storm, Water, Icecube
Ice: Ice, Cool Fire, Ice Cream

Now at this point, to get max income, we'll use the remaining habitat space with:

Dark Habitat: Hedgehog, Hedgehog, Hedgehog, Hedgehog (okay, so Poo is actually a better choice, but who wants to fill up the islands with crap?!)

And we will use x4 Dark Boost and x4 Earth Boost with these to get a +160% boost. This will be the best possible income in the game with habitat max income considered (we can do a little better using armadillo and metal but I like the 80,000 max over the 30,000 one).

This isn't really some guaranteed best set-up. Remember, I'm new, so I'd love if you guys would post some improvements you can make to this set up if possible :).

#106 Dragon City FAQ

Posted by Ashley on 05 June 2012 - 01:16 AM

Why aren't my islands displaying correctly?

The game is still in Beta and has a few performance issues. Sometimes the game may take a long time to load, so be patient!

How do I rename a dragon?

To rename a dragon, click on the dragon. To the right of its name there will be a pencil icon. Tap the pencil icon and then type the new name in. After, tap the save icon to the right of the name.

How come I can't breed some elements together?

Each element has an opposite. For example, fire and ice are opposite elements. If elements are opposites, you won't be able to breed them together. To get around this, use hybrid dragons that contain the elements.

Where can I find extensive data about Dragon City?

Check out our Information Database.

When it comes to breeding dragons like Gummy (or other opposite-element dragons), is using two hybrids more effective than using a basic element and a hybrid?

It seems this is the case.

How do I breed legendary dragons?

It seems the best way to breed these is to use two different opposite-rare dragons (dragons with opposite elements such as Gummy, Soccer, Cool Fire, and Armadillo).

Where can I get more friends for the game and how do I add them?

Check out our Friends section. You will add friends on Facebook, because Dragon City is a Facebook game!

How can I get more gems?

Gems are obtained through leveling, completing dragon sets in the dragon book, completing some goals, winning in the stadium, winning leagues against other players, the daily bonus, earning them through special offers, the monday bonus, and buying them (with credit card, paypal, or mobile).

What is the Dragon Market?

With the dragon market, you can select a resource (food or gold) to get. After, you invite your friends to help you out. If all six spots are filled (only one friend per spot) then you get the resource. Each friend adds a certain amount of the resource and, after 12 hours, if your spots aren't filled, you'll get whatever amount of the resource your friends have helped you get. If you fill it before the time is up, you can get the resource immediately.

What is the recruitment tavern?

The recruitment tavern allows you to invite friends who don't play Dragon City to play. If they play with you as the referrer, they'll take a spot in the tavern. If all three spots are filled, you get the reward shown in the tavern.

How do I level dragons past 10?

To level dragons past 10, you'll have to purchase magic temples. The first magic temple that allows you to level dragons to 15 is unlocked at level 20.

What are the lost creatures for?

Occasionally, lost creatures (or a gold tree) will appear on your islands. If you click on one, you have the option of sharing it. Doing so will post a message to your Facebook. For each friend of yours that clicks on the link on your Facebook, a ship will appear on your island and will drop a small amount of gold, experience, or food. The person who clicked on your link will receive a small reward as well. Note that there is a maximum of 10 ships that will appear on your island at one time.

#52461 Olympus Island Event Guide (All-Platform Version)

Posted by iKate on 16 April 2014 - 09:20 AM

Olympus Island Event Guide

Duration: 10 Days (April 16th-April 26th)

Prizes:

Please note that all Hybrids' elements are flip-flopped everywhere in the app EXCEPT for in combats, the Training Center, and the shop display (before you hit the dragon's description). This does not affect their strengths/weaknesses as they still follow the PC version's order in combats and breeding.

Quick Tip Box

Spoiler

Stage One: Greek Temple

Breaking WIth Gold: You will be asked to break each of four tiles by spending gold. The amount of gold required depends on your level.

Breaking with League Combat Victories: You will need to break three of the tiles. In order to break a tile, you need 4 League Combat wins to do so. This means you need 15 total wins.

Opponent Combats: You will need to break four tiles for this stage. However, you will need to win against three opponents for each of
four tiles. As usual, whichever dragon you choose, your opponent will match its level and its Hp. Its attack damage will also be in the same range as the dragon you selected. Your opponent list will not repeat. You will keep on fighting dragons down the list. Tournament wins do count toward your fighting item counter! Please see the opponent list at the end of the guide.

Frequency: 1 Fight Every 2 Hours
Total Fights: 12

Stage Two: Poseidon Temple

Breaking WIth Food: You will be asked to break three tiles by spending a certain amount of food (depending on your level) per tile.

Opponent Combats: You will need to break four tiles for this stage. However, you will need to win against four opponents for each set of

Total Fights: 16

Breeding: You will need to breed dragons and break four tiles. In order to break a tile, you need 1,000. The amount you earn depends on how long your breed is. You get one item for each minute of breeding time. For example, a one-hour breed will give you 60 items. If you bred dragons while still in the first stage, these breeds do count toward your items. You'll be able to see how many you earned as soon as you get to the second stage. So even if you're just starting the quest, get your breeding on! Credit is received at the end of your breed.

Poseidon Challenges YOU: At the end of the stage, you will need to defeat the Poseidon Dragon. Good luck.

  • Poseidon Dragon (Sea)-Caution: Do not use a dragon with Flame, War, or Electric as a primary element. Suggestions: Pure Flame Dragon, Flaming Rock Dragon

Stage Three: Hades Temple

Breaking WIth Food: You will be asked to break four tiles by spending a certain amount of food
(depending on your level) per tile. If you have a different food requirement, let me know right away.

Breaking with League Combat Victories: You will need to break four of the tiles. In order to break a tile, you need 6 League Combat wins to do so. This means you need 24 total wins.

Daily Collects : You will need to break three tiles for this stage. Each tile requires 2 Daily Collects. You will need 8 in total, and you must wait 12 hours to collect each one.

Hades Challenges YOU: At the end of the stage, you will need to defeat the Hades Dragon. Good luck.

  • Hades Dragon (Sea/Dark)-Caution: Do not use a dragon with Flame, Dark, Metal, or Electric as a primary element. Suggestions: Pure Flame Dragon, Flaming Rock Dragon

*Keep up with your Stadium Tournament Battles! They count for the Ceramic Statues in the last stage!

Stage Four: Atlas Temple

Breaking WIth Food: You will be asked to break four tiles by spending a certain amount of food (depending on your level) per tile. If you have a different food requirement, let me know right away.

Breeding: You will need to breed dragons and break three tiles. In order to break a tile, you need 2,000. The amount of items you earn depends on how long your breed is.

Opponent Combats: You will need to break three tiles for this stage. However, you will need to win against six opponents for each set of three tiles.

Total Fights: 18

Atlas Challenges YOU: At the end of the stage, you will need to defeat the Atlas Dragon. Good luck.

  • Atlas Dragon (Sea/Terra/Nature)-Suggestion: Caution: Do not use a dragon with Flame, Electric, War, Dark, Nature, or Light as a primary element. Suggestions: Pure Flame Dragon, Flaming Rock Dragon

Opponent List

I noticed that the opponent sequences do not seem to repeat this time around. Here is the list of dragons in order that you will be fighting. Remember, Tournament wins count toward your fighting credits, and you will skip the dragon you were supposed to fight next. For example, if I did a Tournament combat right before I started the event, I would be fighting the second dragon on the list next. The list will only repeat at the beginning of each stage. That means that you will fight Dragon 1 at the beginning of each stage, and move down the list in order.

Spoiler
*Suggestions are based upon your opponents' element setup. You can also use the Dragon Strengths and Weaknesses Chart to directly compare elements.

NOTE: On the event itself, in the '?' section where the event is described, it hints at using Gems for speedups. I highly suggest that you refrain from doing so. Speedups can cost even more than just buying the item itself. Hopefully you won't even have to use gems at all for this event.

#52037 Four Elements Dragons?

Posted by BennyOcean on 25 March 2014 - 03:33 PM

How is anyone supposed to earn 4500 gems anyway? I guess you could buy them for hundreds of dollars. Do they expect people to actually pay hundreds of dollars for dragons? I don't understand how anyone is supposed to get these dragons. The prices are so stupid I can hardly believe it.

#51944 Dungeon Habitat - Offshore Isle Idea

Posted by Devin on 22 March 2014 - 05:02 AM

There are a few reasons why those islands would be untouched. If it still says they are level 50, chances are they quit before those islands came into existence (because that's also when they changed the level cap from 50 to 99) OR the islands are just too expensive for them and they are saving up gems.

I am not saying that Social Point has given us enough space, I am just saying they aren't completely ignoring us. Give them some credit for their efforts.

If and when they DO add more islands, just imagine the price, The 6th island costs 400 gems, what's next? 600 gems? 750 gems? 1000 gems? They need to fix their prices of the islands a bit if they plan to add more islands. They would have to cut the 4th - 6th islands prices in half at least to give somewhat reasonable prices on new islands. There is a point where prices stop being a goal to work for and they turn into a unreasonable goal that you are FORCED to pay money for or give up on.

#266 Use Google Chrome

Posted by Ashley on 06 June 2012 - 05:09 PM

Dragon City is a pretty laggy game. I've come to learn that using Google Chrome browser is much better for the game experience - much less lag and much better performance.

I suggest you use your default browser (whichever you use) for browsing, but use Google Chrome for the game itself.

Download it here.
